Šime Veršić is an Assistant Professor and Vice Dean for Students and Teaching at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split. He completed his doctoral degree in Kinesiology in 2020 with a thesis titled, “Factors Associated with the Potential Use of Doping in Swimming, Rowing, and Sailing.” He teaches courses including Theory and Methodology of Water Sports 1, Conditioning in Team Sport Games, and Strength and Conditioning. His current research focuses on the demands of elite sports and the relationships between performance and injury prevalence. He is the author of over 100 scientific papers, with 70 cited in the Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus databases.

He received the University of Split Science Award in the category of Young Scientists in 2019 and in the category of Social Sciences in 2021. In addition to his academic and scientific work, he has over 10 years of practical experience as a Strength and Conditioning coach with HNK Hajduk Split, RNK Split, KK Split, and AFC Universitas.
