Toni Modrić is a Strength and Conditioning coach with 11 years of experience working in elite football (soccer) clubs, including HNK Hajduk Split, Galatasaray SK, Beşiktaş JK, Pafos FC, Riga FC, Kardemir Karabükspor, RNK Split, and the Croatian U17 national football team. In 2022, he earned a PhD in Sport and Exercise Science from the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Split, with a doctoral thesis titled, “Analysis of Elite-Level Soccer Players’ Running Performance Using GPS Technology: The Influence of Different Factors on Performance and Success in Soccer.” To date, he has published 60 scientific papers in journals indexed in the Web of Science. His main area of interest is the analysis of physical, technical, and tactical performance in football. For his scientific contributions, he received an award from the University of Split. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Split, where he teaches Strength and Conditioning, Quantitative Methods, and Research Methods in Kinesiology.
