João Alves

S&C Coach at Sporting Braga

Hello! My name is João Alves, and I’m a Portuguese strength and conditioning coach in Sporting Clube de Braga. I have over 10 years of experience helping athletes become faster, better, stronger (yes, I am quoting Black Eyed Peas).

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, a Master’s in High-Performance Training, a Postgraduate specialization in Exercise and Sports Medicine Rehabilitation, and a certification in Strength Training: From Rehabilitation to Performance from Barça Innovation Hub – Universitas. I’m passionate about creating training programs tailored to each athlete’s needs, always keeping in mind the importance of balancing hard work and recovery.

In my free time, I love playing football with friends and watching movies. Any Lord of the Rings fans out there?

    Key Points

This event is specifically designed for professionals working in multidirectional sports, where acceleration, deceleration, and rapid changes of direction define performance. Throughout the webinar, participants will explore key aspects of neuromuscular training, including biomechanics, strength programming, and practical methods for improving on-field performance. A dedicated segment will focus on muscle injury rehabilitation, making this event especially valuable for rehabilitation coaches and physiotherapists working within team environments or running their own performance and rehab centers. In addition, the program includes a specialized module for goalkeepers, addressing the unique demands of the position and providing clear guidelines on how to effectively structure and adapt training for this specific population. By combining scientific principles with real-world application, this webinar delivers actionable insights that can be immediately implemented in both performance and rehabilitation settings. Participants will also receive additional educational materials, access to the full recording, and a certificate of participation.
